NODOKA is an organic Japanese tea powder brand founded in Brooklyn, New York, by a Tokyo-born founder who learned that many of the teas served overseas are not from Japan and are not made from Japanese tea leaves. We launched this brand in order to promote authentic Japanese tea and to let people know about the various problems faced by tea growers.

This is a Japanese tea that can be eaten whole, made from a powder form of rare new tea produced from pesticide-free organic cultivation in tea fields located in the mountains of Shizuoka Prefecture at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. It is possible to taste the harmony of sweetness, flavor, and astringency that only first-grade tea has.

The tea leaves used are both JAS (Japan) and USDA (USA) certified organic. The tea leaves used are JAS (Japan) and USDA (U.S.A.) certified organic, and only about 3% of all tea leaves in Japan are certified organic.

Specially Selected Matcha and Matcha

Matcha is characterized by its rich aroma, mild flavor, and elegant sweetness. Matcha is grown under shade, so it contains less astringent catechins and is rich in vitamin C, dietary fiber, and theanine, a flavor enhancer.

Sencha

Sencha has an aroma and flavor with a gentle astringency. Sencha is grown naturally in full sunlight and contains a large amount of catechins in addition to vitamin C and minerals.

Genmaicha

Genmaicha provides nutrients from both green tea and brown rice. Genmaicha contains catechins, vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and many other nutrients that are often lacking in modern people.

[Hojicha

Houjicha is usually made from the leaves of Bancha tea leaves in the fall, but we roast rare Ichibancha tea leaves to bring out their gentle aroma. In addition to pyrazine, which is an aromatic component, it contains high levels of vitamin C and theanine.
