EVENT | Unagi no Nedoko – Summer 2026 –
The “Unagi no Nedoko” event, now a staple at GOOD DESIGN STORE TOKYO by NOHARA, is being held for the 12th time.
For this event, we’re introducing our first-ever original MONPE. We’ve produced a limited quantity of the “Farmer’s MONPE Iroha,” featuring an overall relaxed fit that closely resembles the traditional monpe style.We’ve prepared 30 varieties featuring a rich variety of original patterns, including simple Muji prints, the classic Hanagara pattern, and the classic striped pattern of Kurume Kasuri.
We’ll also have a wide variety of other items available throughout the event. We hope you’ll enjoy browsing our selection in-store.
“Unagi no Nedoko” is an organization active in the Chikugo region of southern Fukuoka Prefecture, connecting local culture through activities ranging from operating an antenna shop that bridges creators and users to disseminating information. In fiscal year 2016, it received the Good Design Award for “MONPE.”
