The polka dot pattern is a relatively new postwar technique, but it is a product that can be positioned as a symbol of the dining table of Showa-era Japan. Although the amount of production has decreased over time, this product is still produced by a kiln in Saga Prefecture.

Soei Sen Pottery

This pottery produces tea utensils with a polka dot pattern that is synonymous with Yoshida-yaki in Saga Prefecture. While pursuing a polka dot pattern that matches the times, the traditional technique of hand-carving each piece has been passed down from generation to generation.
