Yamanaka Lacquer Ware has a high level of skill in making wooden bases (white wooden vessels before coating with lacquer). The designs that take advantage of the beauty of the grain of the wood by wheel-thrown The design of the "bare" beauty of the wood, which is made by wheel-thrown pottery, is a new type of lacquerware that is distinctly different from traditional crafts, and is made for a wide range of generations.

The "col." series is a new type of lacquerware that is different from traditional lacquerware in that it is made of white wood and is partially covered with vivid colors.

The wooden cylinder with airtight seal can be used as a storage container for tea and coffee beans, which should not be moistened.
Since there is no inner lid, it can also be used as a container for small items.

Hata Lacquerware Store:

In 1930, Unomatsu Hata, the first generation, started his own business as a hand-lacquer craftsman. Later, together with the second generation, he founded Hata Lacquerware Store, which handles all kinds of lacquerware.
Yamanaka lacquerware, which has been passed down through the generations in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is produced based on a technique of wheel turning that has been cultivated for 450 years. Hata Lacquer Ware Store still uses this technique to produce two brands, "col." and "Unomatsudo.
The daily goal of Hata Lacquer Ware is to create "tools for daily life. We will continue to strive to create products that are simple but important: high quality materials, beautiful and functional design, and easy to handle and durable.
