Matsuoka Apiary ( Shimoi Nest Foundation Mfg. Co:)

This is a long-established apiary that has been raising "bees" in Furumachi, Yawatahama City, Ehime Prefecture for more than 100 years. It is said that there are now only a few apiaries in Japan that manufacture "hive foundations.
As the name suggests, the "hive foundation" is the "base" (foundation) for the honeybee hive, a hexagonal shape that serves as the basis for the bees to build a new hive.
Shimoi Hive Foundation uses 100% natural beeswax to make the "hive foundation," which allows us to produce honey that is pure and unadulterated.

The honey has a gentle, smooth taste with a clean aftertaste.
