Made of 100% domestic pigskin leather
(This is the only leather material that is self-sufficient in Japan, and most of it is produced in Sumida, Tokyo.) Since pigskin is a byproduct of meat production, no animals are killed to secure the leather. In addition, pigskin has three pores that run through to the back of the skin, which gives it excellent water absorption, release, and drying properties.
It is very lightweight and soft material, so it does not become heavy even when filled with luggage.
The interior is made of a blend of 50% cotton and 50% linen, with three pockets (two open pockets and one zipper pocket).
The suede finish gives it a comfortable feel. Also, when illuminated by natural light, the surface color creates shades of gray, giving it an elegant appearance.

This is one of the initiatives of the Sumida Regional Brand Strategy, which won the Good Design Award in 2015.
