The glaze is made from the powder produced when making inkstone. The exquisite texture and color of the glaze has a unique depth and luster. The result is a vessel of exquisite texture and color with a unique depth and luster. The Ohori Soma Pottery of Namie-cho, Fukushima Prefecture and the Ogatsu Inkstone and inkstone from Ogatsu in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, both of which were damaged by the earthquake and tsunami. In the process of making choro terrace , the Ogatsu stone used to make the Ogatsu inkstone is crushed and glazed, then poured generously over the Ohori Soma-yaki clay. Ohori Soma-yaki is a type of pottery produced in the Ohori area of Namie-cho, Futaba-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, and has a 350-year history dating back to the Edo period.
