2027 Twenty-Four Solar Terms Calendar / D-BROS
A calendar that allows you to rediscover the blessings of nature in our daily lives—such as seasonal foods, flowers, and events—that change with each of the 24 solar terms.
The Twenty-Four Solar Terms is a general term for a calendar system in which people in ancient times observed the sun’s movements and divided the year into twenty-four segments based on factors such as temperature, humidity, and daylight hours.
Both the illustrations—richly interwoven with seasonal details—and the text are hand-drawn by designer Asako Koyama. The 2027 edition also depicts the colors of the seasons more vividly through the effective use of white in the illustrations and the application of fluorescent special colors.
Packed with useful information directly relevant to modern life—such as seasonal foods, flowers, and events that change with each solar term—this calendar helps you realize that there are many blessings of nature hidden in the everyday moments you might otherwise overlook. By learning about the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, you can experience Japan’s rich four seasons in a more detailed and nuanced way.
