Ichi-Goh
A small sized vessel that is neither a bowl nor a boar's mouth, but comfortable to hold in the hand.
It can be used as a measuring cup for cooking rice or pouring sake to enjoy a cup of sake. If you use it as a rice bowl, you do not have to worry about overeating.
Ichigou" is the first product of "Takabo," which was born out of a desire to rethink the Japanese sense of size, and is handmade and produced in small quantities in cooperation with craftspeople.
Made of natural Mizume cherry wood, each piece has a different grain texture.
The palm-sized vessels become more seasoned as they are used, making them ideal for gift-giving.
The natural finish vessels may initially have an odor, but it will naturally disappear with use.
Natural finish・・・This natural finish makes the most of the wood, its original grain and color.
Black Urushi lacquer finish・・・Precious Japanese natural Urushi lacquer is used to produce this finish, which is a special shade of Urushi lacquer by lacquer ware artist Kenji Honma.
