Tea caddy, small

  • ¥13,200 (Tax included.)
    Unit price per

The barrel is made of plain wood using the katamono technique, which is a representative of kabazaiku, a traditional craft of Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, and the knob on the inner lid has been omitted to create a simpler design that is also functional as a tea spoon.

The outer cylinder is made of plain bark polished from the surface of the bark of the mountain cherry tree, allowing you to enjoy the unique appearance of the knots in the cherry bark that appear when the bark is polished.

The luster of the bark is enhanced daily by hand rubbing, and the more it is used, the more it changes to a more subdued color.

■The only tea caddy not made with a "katamono" design, the inner lid knob has been omitted, not only making it simpler in design, but also allowing the inner lid to be used in place of a tea winder when placing tea leaves in a teapot.
