Fruit Bowl Berm, Amime / Nagae
The motif is a momentary expression left on the beach by the waves, and a graphical pattern of berm and net (amime) hollowed out by a laser. After processing, each piece is hand-hammered into a bowl shape by a forge craftsman.
The synergy between modern technology and traditional craftsmanship has created a new beauty in this outstanding design.
The intricate patterns on the iron plate, which can only be achieved by laser processing, and the traditional handwork of Takaoka copperware have created the roundness of the bowl with texture.
