The word "Fukui" originally came from "Fukuii," which means "Fuku is there," and was used to bring good luck. This wooden coaster with a lucky Japanese pattern comes from Fukui Prefecture.

Koyanagi Chest Store
Koyanagi Tansu Ten was founded in 1907 in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, as a furniture store. Koyanagi Tansu-ten has been manufacturing Echizen chests, period chests, paulownia chests, custom-made furniture, and fittings in line with the changing times.Norikazu Koyanagi, the fourth generation, is a traditional craftsman who still carries on the traditions and fingerwork techniques handed down from generation to generation, while pursuing unconventional and creative craftsmanship using wood.
RENEW" is an event held in the Tannan area of Fukui Prefecture (Sabae City, Echizen City, Echizen Town) to open up the workshop with the aim of creating a sustainable community, and was awarded the Good Design Award in 2019.
