Fuku-no-Komiyage Kounokura: Cream cheese marinated in miso
Seven years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, this is a regional revitalization project to rebrand the "products" and "industries" of businesses that are still struggling due to evacuation and business downsizing, to redesign large items into small ones, and to take on the challenge of finding new sales channels.
The soft and very mild cream cheese is soaked and matured in a special miso paste made at the storehouse of incense. It can be served as it is, or it is perfect with wine, sake, beer, highballs, and many other drinks. It is even more delicious with figs and dried persimmons. We hope you will enjoy the deep flavor that only miso pickling can provide.
