Ishinomaki Workshop - Workshop Kit
Ishinomaki Workshop was born in 2011 as a "place for local craftsmanship" against the backdrop of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The project, which aims to create a "place" for people to gather, create "things" needed by people with their own hands, add the power of design to "handmade" products, and create employment as an industry, won the 2012 Good Design Reconstruction Design Award and the 2021 Good Design Long Life Design Award.
Currently, the company is working as a DIY manufacturer that pushes the world of DIY and its possibilities with the power of design. Human resource development through workshops by designers continues, and kits for both children and adults were awarded the Good Design Award in 2018.
