Butterfly Stool / Tendo Woodworks
Its name comes from its form, which resembles a butterfly spreading its wings.
It was created by Sori Yanagi, who laid the foundation of Japanese industrial design, using a method known as "hand-play design," in which the designer proceeds by hand rather than through drawings or sketches. This masterpiece is in the collections of museums around the world, including the Louvre Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The simple structure consists of molded plywood sheets of the same shape jointed with brass fittings. The two pieces of molded plywood supporting each other are often chosen as wedding gifts.
The Rosewood is made to order and will take up to 3 months to be delivered. We will inform you of the delivery schedule after you place an order. Please understand this in advance.
