For those who wish to enshrine a kamidana as a place of daily gratitude and spirituality, a minimalist design is made possible by transforming the Ise Jingu shrine from a three-dimensional model into a two-dimensional one, making it fit in a contemporary space. It is handmade in Japan from Japanese cypress.

*Prices vary depending on the type.

"Muku" is created from a single piece of wood to more closely resemble natural wood, based on the idea that God resides in natural objects. It is shaped to take advantage of the texture of solid hinoki cypress, and is made entirely from "quarter-sawn" wood with a fine grain. When the top is pulled up, the inside can hold five thin bills. It can be placed on the attached Hinoki stand or directly on the stand.

The "Shiro" model has a stylish form with a white melamine veneer applied to the cypress body. White is considered a sacred color in Japan. It is designed to slide to the right side to hold bills, and can hold five thin bills. It can be placed on the attached cypress stand or directly on the wall, and can also be hung on the wall with the attached hook on the back.

Shiro x Muku" incorporates the beauty of both "Shiro" and "Muku". The white part at the top, which is the key point of the design, was made as close to white as possible by adopting a new concept of lacquer coating (urethane + lacquer mixed coating) with the cooperation of Fukunishi Sohei Shoten of Aizu lacquerware, a local industry in Fukushima Prefecture. The new technology expands the possibilities of design and incorporates the beauty of both "Shiro" and "Muku".

Please be sure to check the size of the bill to be enshrined. The inner dimensions of the kamidana (the place where the votive card is stored) are W85 x H265 x D16 cm for Shiro. Muku and Shiro Muku will be D13cm.
