2027 Calendar: Picnic—A Calendar Straight Out of a Picture Book / D-BROS
A picture-book-style calendar featuring a fun interactive mechanism—
—that moves via a slit animation.
Twenty-five years after its initial release in 2002, “Picnic 2027” is now available. This single volume combines a calendar and a picture book, depicting the wonder of Earth’s journey around the sun over the course of 365 days through conversations between animal parents and their young. When you move the included filter over the pages, the animals and backgrounds come to life.
Designer Masahiro Kakizuhara has since expanded his creative horizons to include work as a picture book author. You can enjoy this book as a picture book—with its slit animation and story—while also displaying it as a calendar.
