“hibi” is a line of incense sticks created with the desire to burn incense by “lighting it with a match” and to preserve the origins of the match—along with its scent—in our “daily lives.”

Three scents—“Sea,” “River,” and “Forest”—have been introduced to evoke natural scenes that reside in everyone’s memory.

Scenes ‒jokei‒ rise up.

The openness of the sea, the tranquility of the forest, the purity of the river. The rising scent reawakens scenes you’d almost forgotten. These aren’t just landscapes—they’re images unique to you, imbued with your own emotions and memories.

・Sea - Morning: “Hiraku”
A horizon stretching endlessly into the distance and the sound of waves lapping and receding
. Memories of sand brushing against bare feet and the touch of the waves gently unwind the mind. A gentle herbal blend of eucalyptus, sage, sandalwood, and oakmoss.
・River - Noon: Calm
Listen closely to the babbling stream and take a deep breath. As any stagnation fades away, both your mind and body become clear. A fresh, green and woody scent blending eucalyptus, yuzu, hiba, and patchouli.
・Forest -
Dusk Quiet
Gentle sunlight filtering through the trees and the scent of moist earth. The chirping of birds soothes the restlessness of the mind. A deep, woody note blending hinoki, cedarwood, oakmoss, and patchouli.

Burn time: 10 minutes. Anytime, anywhere

10 minutes after lighting the incense stick. Whether you’re starting your morning, taking a breather during a busy day, or unwinding while traveling, you can enjoy the scent anytime, anywhere—no lighter or incense holder required.

A Collaboration Between Two Traditional Industries

Matches, which were introduced to Japan in the early Meiji era, eventually became a major Japanese export industry thanks to their high quality. The region stretching from Kobe to Himeji has long prospered through their manufacture and trade. Awaji Island has a climate well-suited for drying incense sticks and accounts for approximately 70 percent of Japan’s total incense and incense stick production. This product was born from the meeting of these two local industries.
