Wall clock CARVED WOOD BIRCH / NTL16-05
Using exactly the same manufacturing process as the previous CARVED series, the dial material has been replaced with laminated birch. The texture of the wood creates rich shadows.
This clock, which gives the impression that the letters have been carved out of the dial with a carving knife, is an attempt to treat graphics as form.
The shadows cast by the engraved letters give the dial a three-dimensional effect, changing its expression in response to the surrounding light environment. The idea was inspired by the diversion of materials and techniques used for interior decoration.
