Dried sweet potato on a snowy day 180g/box/women farmers japan
Dried sweet potato that "tastes like sweet potato
Dried sweet potato with the texture of yokan jelly. The dried sweet potato is made by drying the whole sweet potato without slicing it, and is considered a rare dried sweet potato that is generally not distributed because of the time and effort required to carefully peel the steamed thin sweet potato and dry it over a period of three days.
The product originates from Tokamachi City in Niigata Prefecture, one of the world's heaviest snowfall areas.
With the concept of "making satoyama agriculture a world-class agricultural industry," women farmers japan is a group of small farmers in one of the world's heaviest snowfall areas, who have come together to create a system that combines community and business design. The company is taking on the challenge of supporting the self-reliance of rural women and solving the problems of agriculture in mountainous areas through the cultivation, processing, and sales of sweet potatoes, a challenge processing room, and the operation of a community of women farmers.
1) Sweet potatoes are selected carefully because of the choice of soil
The taste of sweet potatoes is greatly affected by the natural power of the soil. We carefully select and cultivate sweet potatoes based on our own records of soil surveys, elevation, soil type, and other factors.
(2) Ripening for about 2 months after harvesting
Freshly dug sweet potatoes have a high water content and are not very sweet. After harvesting, the sweet potatoes are slowly ripened in the cold just before the snow falls, and only those that have reached a sugar content of 16 degrees or higher are processed.
(3) Cultivated without using pesticides while adding plenty of organic matter
We place importance on nurturing the soil, drawing out the power of the soil itself, and coexisting in harmony with nature.
