The design of this yokan changes each time it is cut.

The bird perched on the crescent moon gradually flaps its wings as it faces the full moon, and the scenery gradually fades into the night. The flavor of each slice changes depending on where it is cut. The sky color at dusk and the ever-changing mountain range are like a jazz melody in this yokan.

Six Layers of Luxurious Flavor

Nishikidama-jelly like champagne jelly is sandwiched between layers of azuki yokan. The bird and the moon inside are lemon yokan. The top is topped with cranberries, Japanese devil's walnuts and raisins. It has a refreshing taste that goes well with tea or wine. The taste is different depending on where you put your fork.

Written by Reika Masuda, a Japanese-style painter from Namie-cho, Fukushima Prefecture. The beautiful colorful scenery that matches the world view of yokan is depicted on the package.

PONTE Series

This series is a new "PONTE (bridge)" connecting the past with the present and Fukushima with the world from the viewpoint of a long-established manufacturing method rooted in Aizu, which has been in business for 170 years. While preserving traditional manufacturing methods, the series proposes new ways of using and eating wagashi that are suited to the modern age, and was awarded the Good Design Award for 2017.
