Glass for a lifetime / tumbler glass / ice crackle
A glass expressing a beautiful cracked pattern of ice
The glass is produced through a unique process in which a freshly molded, heated glass is submerged in water to form a fine crack pattern that extends to the rim of the mouth. The temperature of the glass is extremely important in creating the cracked pattern, and the skill of a skilled craftsman in determining the appropriate temperature for the formation shines through. By reheating the glass in the shaping kiln, a beautiful pattern of close cracks is created.

The high transparency of crystal glass, the high refractive index of light, the pattern of cracks (penetration), and the curved design of the tumbler glass that seems to widen toward the drinking spout combine to make the "Ice Crack" glass design stand out even more.
