World Cartography AuthaGraph World Map/AuthaGraph Globe
A map of the world created in the 16th century that compensates for the shortcomings of conventional maps and shows an accurate overall view of the earth with minimal distortion in size and shape. The AuthaGraph Globe is a new cartographic method invented that allows any place in the world to be the center of the map and the flow of time to be represented.
The AuthaGraph Globe is a paper craft that allows you to understand in three dimensions how the earth, a sphere, gradually transforms into a tetrahedron and finally into a rectangular map of the world. While assembling the mechanism of how this map is created, visitors can grasp the relationship between the globe and the world map.
