MONPE" is a project to transform and convey the comfort and workability of "MONPE", which was popular as farm work clothes, to the modern age without forgetting them.

MONPE is a collaboration with the textile brand "Keshichi" of Oshika Co. in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture.As one of the world's three major woolen textile production areas, blessed with soft water suitable for dyeing and processing yarns and fabrics and finishing arrangement, textile production has been practiced since the Nara period (710-794).Woolen fabrics used for suits and coats are widely produced.The density of the fabric is high, and the bristles on the surface contain air and keep heat in, making this flannel material excellent for heat retention.

MONPE" was set around as farm work clothes, and its shape was a loose-fitting silhouette with a large hips. Eel bedding developed a simple design considering a width of about 36 cm (kimono length) while saving cloth by unraveling antiques and kimono fertilized by local people, and as a result, "this is the standard MONPE in the modern age" with the function of MONPE intact.
