West Indian Sea Island Cotton
The greatest feature of Sea Island cotton is its overwhelmingly long and thin fibers. It has the most natural twists of any cotton, giving it a fluffy, soft taste and outstanding moisture absorbency. Its cashmere-like feel and silky luster give it an elegant appearance.
It grows only on a limited number of islands in the Western Indies, where the environment and climatic conditions are ideal for producing high-quality cotton, and its annual production is extremely small, at only a few hundred thousandths of the total cotton production.
