Pattern Stitch

Embroidery of geometric patterns repeating regular patterns. There are a wide variety of embroidery patterns, including figurative patterns of familiar animals and plants, and simple parallel stitches. This needlework has been passed down through generations with wishes and prayers for the growth of children, a good harvest, protection against evil, and business prosperity.
