TSUKI Series
Yasuda Tiles are hard and durable cold-weather tiles with low water absorption, excellent heat insulation and cold resistance, made using the "reduction firing method," in which tiles are fired at a high temperature of over 1,200°C. They are carefully finished by hand by craftsmen.
The tableware, named "TSUKI" (meaning "moon" in Japanese), is manufactured in Agano City, Niigata Prefecture, and is carefully handcrafted by craftsmen to produce the unique color and wrinkled appearance of these iron-colored tiles, which look like "moon.
Yasuda Tile is the northernmost tile-producing region in Japan and continues to be used mainly in northern Japan, where there is deep snow, for its superior quality and functionality. The unique uneven surface of Yasuda Tile is grippy and easy to grip, and food is non-slip, making it beautiful for serving.
