EVENT｜Fukui Craftsmanship - Update of Traditional Crafts

Winner of the 2019 Good Design Award, the workshop opening event in the Tannan area of Fukui Prefecture, which aims to create a sustainable community, " RENEWTSUGI is the producer of the "RENEW.

In this issue, we would like to introduce " F-TRAD, " a project by TSUGI to update Fukui Prefecture's traditional crafts to suit modern lifestyles.

A variety of items that make use of Fukui Prefecture's long history of crafts, such as Echizen hammered blades and Echizen Japanese paper. We have stationery and interior goods that make use of Echizen Japanese paper with its smooth texture, as well as knives with handles made of light and strong ho-oki wood and blades made of rust-resistant, long-lasting stainless steel.

We hope you will experience the modern clothing, food, and shelter that incorporate Fukui's traditional craftsmanship.
