EVENT｜"Eel beds" that travel together
The "eel beds" that connect local culture in the Chikugo region of southern Fukuoka Prefecture, from the operation of an antenna store that connects makers and users to the dissemination of information, received the Good Design Award for MONPE in 2016.
MONPE, which is considered as a "format," includes a "production area collaboration" using fabrics from around the world and a "Yurugasuri pattern series" featuring local specialties from each prefecture of Kyushu. You can choose the one that fits your traveling mood.
Also available are " Farmer's MONPE," which are generally loose-fitting, and light skirts and dresses in bright spring colors, recommended for long journeys.
